What are the benefits of Joining the US Chess Federation?

I know they offer a magazine Chess Life, I can join any tournament for another fee, and I get a ranking. Do they broker chess games? Offer advice and help with learning the game?|||besides getting a monthly magazine, you get discounts on chess supplies, a rating, and your allowed to compete for larger prizes ANYWHERE in the united states|||You have to join the federation if you would like to participate in tournaments. Becides that you would still have to pay State membership fees. You will get some information about chess news and chess tournaments by mail.|||I don't know
