I was wondering if there was any high rated chess player that could give me tips or suggestions on playing the Giuoco Piano and some lines of the Giuoco Piano?|||A variation of Giuoco Piano 'quiet game' is the Giuoco Pianissimo 'very quiet game'.
The moves are: 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bc4 Bc5 4.Nc3 Nf6 5.d3 d6.
You get a safe solid game very quickly.

More exiting lines are Giuoco Piano 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bc4 Bc5 4.c3
and the Evans' Gambit 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bc4 Bc5 4.b4!?
These lines take more study to play them well from either side.|||Yer don't.
The Giuoco Piano is a chess opening characterized by the moves
1. e4 e5
2. Nf3 Nc6
3. Bc4 Bc5
Instead of 3. ... Bc5 it is possible for Black to play 3... Nf6 4.Ng5 d5 5. exd5 Nxd5 (the Two Knights Defense) or 3. ...Be7 4.d4 d6 5. h3 Nf6 6.Nc3 0-0 7.0-0 exd4 (the Hungarian Defense).
Modern refinements in defensive play have led most chess masters towards openings like the Ruy Lopez that offer White greater chances for long term initiative.|||If you're in the United States, the best plan would be to hire a coach that has a USCF rating of 2200 or higher. Inquire at a local chess club for a referral.|||...as with ANY opening?....it's good for only about 9 moves...then your in the "middle-game"
there are a FEW books that deal with this opening...you just have to look REALLY hard
